The Growth of Space Tourism

Bôi đen đoạn văn để tô màu hoặc gạch chân

For decades, space travel was reserved for professional astronauts working for national space agencies. In recent years, however, private companies have begun offering short trips beyond the edge of the atmosphere to paying customers, marking the beginning of a new space tourism industry. These flights, which typically last only a few minutes in space, allow passengers to experience weightlessness and view the curvature of the Earth before returning to the ground. Tickets remain extremely expensive, putting the experience out of reach for all but the wealthiest travellers, though companies say prices may fall as technology matures. Environmental groups have raised concerns about the carbon emissions produced by rocket launches, questioning whether the benefits of space tourism justify its environmental cost. Advocates counter that the industry is driving innovations that could eventually make space travel more accessible and sustainable.
