The Shift to Electric Vehicles
Bôi đen đoạn văn để tô màu hoặc gạch chân
Sales of electric vehicles have grown rapidly over the past decade, driven by falling battery costs, government incentives, and growing concern about vehicle emissions. Many major car manufacturers have announced plans to phase out petrol and diesel models entirely within the coming years.
One of the main barriers to wider adoption has been "range anxiety" — the fear of running out of charge before reaching a charging station. Governments and private companies have responded by rapidly expanding charging networks, particularly along major highways and in city centres.
Battery technology continues to improve, with newer models offering longer driving ranges and faster charging times than earlier generations. However, questions remain about the environmental impact of mining the raw materials needed for batteries, and about how to recycle batteries responsibly once vehicles reach the end of their life.
